Welcome to 2026!

The first WFNS Newsletter for 2026 includes the following reports:

- Neurosurgery in Nigeria. A summary of the history and current status of neurosurgery by Dr O Opara and colleagues.
- Neurosurgery and Training in Sudan. An overview of neurosurgery in this war-torn region by Dr. M Omer.
- Anticoagulation Reversal in Neurosurgery. A brief update on this important topic by Dr H Lee.
- InterSurgeon. An introduction to this global surgery organization by Alexandra Jarram

- Society of British Neurological Surgeons (SBNS) and British Neurosurgical Research Group (BNRG) Spring Meeting, Harrowgate, UK April 14-17
- AACNS (Asian Australasian) 18^th Congress, Manila, Philippines June 13-18
