The 2018 International Basic Neurosurgery Course (IBNC 2018) was successfully held in Belek/Antalya/TURKEY from March 29 to April 1.
This year’s main topic was “Spine and Peripheral Nerve”. There were 180 participants from 49 different countries worldwide. Most of the participants were residents or young specialists.
The main topic of the first day of the IBNC/WFNS course was “Neurosurgical Emergencies” including Pediatrics, Neurotrauma, Vascular, and Neuro-oncology cases. Isabelle Germano and Tanju Uçar were co-chairs of this session.
There were a lot of discussion sessions, workshops, case scenarios, ınteractive sessions, as well as social tours and events, during the IBNC.
The Turkısh Neurosurgical Society (TNS) provided 140 scholarships to the students - including accommodation, registration, and social activities fees.
