Welcome to the first WFNS Newsletter of 2025!

The initial items address various topics:

- “Why Neurosurgeons Should Do Peripheral Nerve Surgery”
- “Foundation for International Education in Neurological Surgery (FIENS) Award Overview 2024”
- “Neurosurgery in the Time of War” This report considers the situation in Ukraine – we invite those
who have first-hand experience with neurosurgery in other current battle zones to contribute also.

Next is the WFNS Committees report. This includes both reports of recent activities and
announcements of upcoming activities.
