Dear Colleagues,
Regarding the visa issue to participate the 2019 WFNS Special World Congress in Beijing, China, 9-12 September, please read the information below.
China offers 53 countries to benefit the policy of ''144-Hour Visa-Free Transit in China'' (6 days, from the day of landing to departure without holding a visa). Please read more details at: https://www.travelchinaguide.com/tour/visa/free-transit-144-hours.htm
If you stay no longer than 6 days in China, you do not have to apply for visa. However, your return flight cannot be the direct flight. It must include at least one transit point which is different country or region out of Mainland China. *Please read carefully about ''What is an eligible transit route?'' at https://www.travelchinaguide.com/tour/visa/free-transit-144-hours.htm before you book the flight.
If you stay longer than 6 days in China, you may obtain the invitation letter online at http://www.wfns2019.org/Content/112159 to apply for visa.
How do you count 144-Hour Visa-Free Transit in China? The opening ceremony is on Great Wall on 9 September 2019. The bus to Great Wall leaves at 16:00
Sincerely yours,
World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS)
