WFNS Foundation Beijing Live Surgery Seminar was hosted on April 28-30, in Beijing, China. This seminar was supported by WFNS Foundation, Neurosurgery Department of Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Chinese Journal of Neurosurgery, Beijing Wangzhongcheng Medical Foundation.

Twenty international speakers from 11 countries and 9 local speakers provided 44 lectures on the first 2 days in Lakeview Hotel, Beijing. On the third day, Video session contains 3 video clips of surgical management of vascular diseases, 2 live surgeries of skull base tumor resection (one is foramen magnum meningioma, the other is jugular foramen meningioma) were observed. Around 300 participants (246 registered and about 50 unregistered) were from 26 regions of China (there are 33 regions in China mainland), including 6 from foreign countries who were from Afghanistan, Tanzania, Malaysia and Indonesia, attended the program. The meeting provided simultaneous interpreters. All participants enjoyed the seminar very much. The third day of course was hosted in Beijing Tiantan Hospital, around 100 audiences in Beijing Tiantan Hospital, 30 centers all over China and about 2200 by web-broadcasting observed the video clips and live surgery.
The seminar was well organized with all participants wish to have such a training program in future.

Before the Live surgery seminar, Hands on cadaveric workshop of skull base surgical approaches was hosted on April 26-27 in Beijing Tiantan Hospital instructed by international faculty of Dr. Benes, Dr. Kannan, Dr. Cherian, Dr. Daniel and local faculty of Dr. Jia, Dr. Tang. More than 100 participants attended the lectures, and 32 attended hands on workshop. The course provided simultaneous interpreters.
