All India Institute of Medical Sciences New Delhi India is one of the largest government tertiary referral centers, a national medical university, and the largest training centre for neurosurgeons in India. It is the best equipped government neurosurgical centre, with facilities ranging from Gamma Knife, skull base surgery, vascular neurosurgery, neurooncology, pituitary and craniopharyngioma surgery, Neuroendoscopy, minimally invasive neurosurgery, peripheral nerve surgery, pediatric neurosurgery, cranio-vertebral junction and spine surgery, spine deformity surgery, epilepsy surgery and the entire spectrum of neurosurgery techniques. The department also has the Neurosurgery Education and Training School – the best equipped skills lab in the country.

Program Details

The department of Neurosurgery, AIIMS, New Delhi announces 2 international fellowships for a period of upto 3 months duration each for young neurosurgeons from developing countries. During the fellowships, the fellows will have the opportunity to observe and if they get a temporary registration from the National Medical Commission, they may assist in neurosurgical procedures. Fellows will be paid a stipend of Indian Rupees 60,000/- per month as well as assistance in securing subsidized accommodation.
