WFNS President Servadei - Pediatric Neurosurgery Committee

In these challenging moments, we are forced to reinvent ourselves. All difficulty creates a window of opportunity and Prof Franco Servadei led the WFNS in these times with tenacity, mastery and brilliance.

In Istanbul, 2019, during the WFNS meeting, we had the privilege to be elected for 4 years as chairs of the Pediatric Neurosurgical Committee. The challenge given to every one of us by Prof Franco Servadei and Prof David Adelson was enormous. In the Committees meeting the main word was: we were given the opportunity to work, in a voluntary way, for 4 years, for the last time – because of the by-laws change to international meetings and re-elections every 2 years. It is up to each one of the committee leaders to develop academical activities in the 5 continents.

Such a huge responsibility was given to us, but since the beginning Prof Sevadei trusted our capacities and opened doors for all support to the Pediatric Neurosurgery Committee activities. On more than one opportunity he congratulated us for being one of the most active Committees and gave us encouragement to continuously do better each time.
